My name is Edy Kajang, an indie developer from Malaysia. I am here to announce that Blade Thrust Tactics, a game project that I've been working on for several years has reached a release candidate version ( Version 0.89 ). Since the end of April 2009, the game has been in public beta version. I should have announce it sooner on this forum when the game in beta version back then.

I would say that Blade Thrust Tactics is some sort of retro game. It is an isometric 2D tactical combat game with some role-playing elements. The gameplay is similar to old stuff games such as Jagged Alliance and Fallout Tactics. The big difference is combat is performed in real time instead of turn based combat.

Although this game can be classified as a hardcore game, I try to make the game accessible to be played for beginner or anyone who've never played this kind of game. I must admit the previous versions are very challenging to play. That is why with the release of version 0.89, combat has been made much easier because I realize to frustrate player is not a way to gain exposure and support for the game. This does not mean the game is easy. If you do not care to learn the game mechanics, you will easily beaten in the game.

Feel free to try this game. I think I have get rid hundreds of nasty bugs and introduce many gameplay improvements. The game plays much more different right now than the game was first released on April 2009. You can download the most recent version on the game website.
